In October 2003 The Peacemakers’ Circle Foundation, Inc. reached out to Muslim and Christian residents in the community of Barangay 188, Phase 12, Riverside in Tala, Caloocan City. Under the leadership of its executive director, Ms. Marites Guingona-Africa, and its Muslim-Christian Program Manager, Mr. Lee Collano, they conducted weekly Inner Work sessions and monthly peacebuilding workshops and values formation seminars for a group of local residents. One year later, the regular participants were inspired to form the Muslim-Christian Peacemakers’ Association (MCPA) on October 2004. We elected our own officers, and planned and implemented our programs for the community.
